Islamic Book Fair Our Journey So Far

The Islamic Book Fair is an annual community event with the aim of providing a single platform for quality Islamic books and literature to be available to the general public. Alhamdulillah, every year so far, the Islamic Book Fair has been met with much acclaim and success. The objective of promoting the reading of good quality Islamic literature was reached by enabling thousands of visitors to come and browse different Islamic books on display at the Fair. The Islamic Book Fair has till date always been held in the Main Hall of the London Muslim Centre in Whitechapel, London. The fair has numerous book stalls offering a large variety of Islamic books and literature for reading and purchasing to the general public. In 2015, the Islamic Book Fair had a special treat for its visitors! The fair was accompanied by a unique Seerat Exhibition. The widely viewed exhibition mapped out the 63 year life and highlights of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through a series of beautifully arranged posters.

The Islamic Book Fair and Sirat Exhibition has from its inception been the initiative of Hafiz Munir Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of London based International charity organisation, Al Quran Academy London. Hafiz Munir Uddin Ahmed has forever strived to establish such an initiative that enables bringing people closer to Islamic literature and allows people to discover the wealth of Islamic literature available to them. His tireless efforts behind crafting the Seerat Exhibition has led to an easily accessible way for people, old and young, to discover and learn about the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him)  and all his positive attributes in a concise and easily understandable way.

The annual Islamic Book Fair has consistently received praise and accolade from various luminaries and scholars, who point out the benefits this unique Islamic event has on the local Muslim community and Muslim youth.

The annual Islamic Book Fair is always held over 3 days and is visited by thousands of people from all over London and the UK. Visitors have the rare ability to see thousands of Islamic books and rare literature from all over the world in one place, many exclusively imported for the fair. Children also get the opportunity to find a wide range of Islamic children’s books and browse new and popular titles. 

Alhamdulillah, the feedback from visitors of the annual Islamic Book Fair has been extremely positive and we pray that its success continues for many more years to come.
